    Finally redid my portfolio after two years. Static XHTML, one stylesheet, a bit of jQuery for the image switcher. Tested in Firefox 3, Safari 3.1, IE6 and IE7.

    The type is lovely. Georgia for headings at that size works. Body copy is too light though, #999 on white is hard to read. I'd go to #555 at least.

    Work section: thumbnails are all the same size, so nothing stands out. Make your best two projects bigger. Studios look at three things and leave.

    Both fair. The grey is from the original PSD and I never questioned it.

    The contact page has two elements with id="nav". Validator complains, IE doesn't care, but the jQuery selector picks the first one only. That's probably why the active state doesn't work on that page.

    Late to this, but the IE6 version is fine apart from the logo PNG having a grey box around it. Either fix it with AlphaImageLoader or save a GIF version for IE6 through a conditional comment.
