Thanks to the fourteen people who came to the spring install-fest on April 17th. We installed Linux on six machines, set up two dual-boot systems, and got one very old ThinkPad running Debian with 64 MB of RAM. The library gave us both meeting rooms this time, which helped a lot. We'll ask for the same arrangement in the fall.
Lessons learned: label the CDs, bring a power strip for every table, and have a sign-up sheet at the door so people don't wait an hour for help with a five-minute question. |
