Sarge Freeze Talk Heats Up Again

Debiandeb_hacker writes "There is fresh discussion on debian-devel about when Sarge might freeze. The new debian-installer and the transition to newer toolchains are the main things still in the way, and nobody wants to put a date on it.

Woody is now more than eighteen months old, and its 2.2 and 2.4 kernels and XFree86 4.1 are starting to show. In the meantime the testing distribution is in pretty good shape, and plenty of readers already run Sarge on the desktop. The installer team is asking for test reports on as much odd hardware as people can find."
