Fallout 3 -- 11 days to go

Postby rocketjump on Mon Sep 29, 2008 6:02 pm

New trailer and the dev diary about VATS went up last week. Thread for everything Fallout 3 until it ships on the 28th (30th for us in Europe, of course).

Who's preordered, what version, and are you getting the Collector's Edition with the lunchbox?

PC, Survival Edition from Amazon. The Pip-Boy clock is ridiculous and I want it.

360 Collector's Edition. I'm worried about the PC version needing Games for Windows Live, and I'd rather play on the couch anyway.

As far as I can tell it's only for achievements. You can play without signing in.

PC here, because of mods. Bethesda already said they're releasing the G.E.C.K. editor for it, same as the Construction Set for Oblivion. Give it six months and the PC version will be a different game.

Everything I've seen looks like Oblivion with guns and a brown filter. I'll wait for reviews :|

It IS Oblivion with guns. That's the point. I put 200 hours into Oblivion with swords.

Liam Neeson voicing your dad, Ron Perlman narrating. They're not messing around.

Anyone else replaying 1 and 2 first? I'm in the middle of Fallout 2 again and it holds up, except the inventory.

Australian classification board passed it after they changed the morphine name. So we actually get it. Small miracles.
