Downloaded an ISO image and not sure what to do with it? Don't copy the file onto a CD. It has to be burned as an image. On Linux, K3b makes this easy. Open K3b, choose Tools, then Burn CD Image, and select the .iso file. Check the MD5 sum that K3b shows against the one on the download site, then click Start. Burn at a lower speed if your drive is old; it saves a lot of coasters.
On Windows, Nero and Easy CD Creator both have a "burn image" option. Look for it in the File or Recorder menu. |
