The Riverside Linux User Group meets on the third Saturday of every month. Meetings are free and open to anyone interested in Linux or free software. No membership is required and beginners are welcome.
| When | Third Saturday of each month, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM |
| Where | Riverside Public Library, Meeting Room B, 2nd Floor |
| Next meeting | Saturday, 16 October 2004 |
| Format | Short presentation, open Q&A, informal install help afterward |
| Contact | Dave Reyes, group coordinator, through the Contact Us page |
Bring a laptop if you want help installing or configuring anything. We usually have two or three members on hand with spare burned CDs and an Ethernet hub for the afternoon. The library does not provide wireless access in the meeting room, so plan accordingly.
Upcoming topics include a wireless card compatibility session (see the install-fest write-up for background) and a talk on setting up a home file server with Samba. |
